Tower Colocation
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd offers tower, rack, and space colocation facilities through its IP-1 registration granted by Department of Telecommunications.
RailTel provides colocation services to telephone service providers, Internet service providers, and other businesses needing wireless communications with access to its current national network of approximately 1,200 Ground Based Towers varying in height from 30m to 150m and promoting multi-tenancy.
All of the towers are co-located in railway stations that are connected by a high-capacity fiber network. With the government's ambition to carry out 5G services, RailTel will provide Telco’s with ready-to-occupy fibered tower infrastructure, 24X7 power supply, shelter for BTS and other related equipment, and protection in Railway premises.
RailTel capitalizes on the presence of railway stations, primarily in rural areas, by building new tower infrastructure, including GBT/GBM/RTT/RTP, to meet the needs of Telco’s, paving the way for rural India to be linked.
